Es entsteht durch die Kompression des Nervus medianus im Karpaltunnel. Dies kann zu Taubheitsgef\u00fchlen und Par\u00e4sthesien an den Fingerspitzen, verminderter Motorik und reduzierter Kraft der Hand f\u00fchren. Die Spaltung kann unter Lokalan\u00e4sthesie ambulant durchgef\u00fchrt werden (der Goldstandard), aber auch endoskopische Verfahren sind m\u00f6glich. Eine Linderung der Par\u00e4sthesien wird meist kurz nach der Operation beobachtet.
