Medical Diving Certificate at Compass Clinic

Comprehensive Cardiovascular Examination

Resting ECG, blood pressure and heart rate monitoring to detect potential cardiac risks related to diving.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Medical Certificate for Diving in Marbella

Is a medical certificate for diving mandatory in Spain?
Yes. It is mandatory if you dive professionally or have relevant medical history. For recreational diving, a self-declaration of health may be accepted, provided there are no risk factors.
The examination may include an ECG, spirometry, ENT examination, neurological assessment, and blood test, depending on medical discretion and your medical history.
The examination usually takes between 30 and 45 minutes. If everything is in order, the certificate will be issued the same day.
People with uncontrolled heart conditions, active epilepsy, recent surgeries (especially involving the ears or lungs), or those who are pregnant. There are also conditions that require a more detailed evaluation, such as diabetes or asthma.
