Dr. Fernando Gallardo Pedrajas

Dr Gallardo Pedrajas is a highly regarded specialist in Angiology and Vascular Surgery, with over 15 years’ experience in the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of arterial and venous diseases.

He currently serves as Head of the Angiology and Vascular Diseases Unit at Compass Clinic, where he has built an outstanding track record in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of vascular conditions, including:

• Aortic aneurysms and complex arterial disease
• Deep vein thrombosis
• Varicose veins and chronic venous disease
• Diabetic foot and vascular ulcers
• Stroke and carotid artery disease
• Peripheral arterial disease
• Vascular access for haemodialysis
• Pulmonary embolism: interventional management and catheter-directed therapies

Dr Gallardo Pedrajas has advanced training in endovascular procedures and vascular imaging techniques, accredited by the Spanish Association of Medical Physics. He has undertaken clinical fellowships at leading medical centres in France, the United Kingdom and the United States, and has collaborated with Stanford University on the Atlas of Advanced Surgical Techniques.

Alongside his clinical practice, he is actively involved in teaching and research. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Málaga and a faculty member of the European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS), where he serves as Training Coordinator in vascular access and aortic surgery.

He has authored numerous scientific publications and has received national and international awards for his research. In addition, he has delivered over 100 presentations at scientific meetings and conferences.
He also holds several positions of responsibility within professional societies, including Secretary of the Andalusian Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery, Board Member of the Spanish Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery (SEACV), and member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Therapy (JVET) and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC).
