Dr. Silke Otremba

Dr. Silke Otremba is a Family Medicine Specialist certified by the Medical Chamber of Schleswig-Holstein (Germany), with more than 20 years of clinical experience across various areas of medical care. Her practice is based on a holistic approach that integrates evidence-based conventional medicine with medically grounded complementary therapies, including osteopathy, acupuncture, and chiropractic therapy, tailored to the individual needs of each patient.

She completed her medical studies at the universities of Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Kiel as part of her training as a physician within the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). During this period, she undertook international clinical rotations, including Traumatology at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town (South Africa) and Internal Medicine in Switzerland.

Dr. Otremba has extensive postgraduate training. She holds the qualification of Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O. EROP) in accordance with U.S. standards, is a Certified Acupuncture Specialist accredited by the German Medical Association, and holds the Certificate in Tropical and Travel Medicine awarded by the German Society for Tropical Medicine (DTG). She has also completed formal training in chiropractic therapy.

Her professional background includes service as a Ship’s Doctor and Aviation Medical Examiner within the Bundeswehr, as well as experience in the German public healthcare system. In addition, she successfully ran her own rural family medicine practice in Germany for several years.

Currently, Dr. Otremba practices at German Clinic on the Costa del Sol, where she provides services in family medicine, osteopathy, acupuncture, and travel medicine. She has been seeing patients in Marbella in German, English, and Spanish since December 2025.
